DAZZLE GALA 2019
04/13/2019 06:00 PM MT
265 S. Church Ave
Tucson, AZ 85701
In honor of MOCA's upcoming exhibition "Dazzled," the 2019 Gala will celebrate dazzle camouflage in art, music and design. Originally conceived in 1918 by artist Norman Wilkinson to conceal naval ships during World War I, the impact of dazzle camouflage on art and culture influenced a wave of Futurism, Cubism, Expressionism, and Abstract and Op Art, as well as contemporary artists working today. We are asking guests to wear black and white, and in MOCA Gala fashion, be as creative as they wish.
The Gala is MOCA Tucson's largest fundraiser of the year and the revenue earned accounts for twenty percent of our budget. Widely considered to be THE best party of the year in Tucson, the Gala attracts 375 of the top business and arts professionals from the metro area, as well as from other cities across the U.S. We pull out all the stops for this event, closing off McCormick St., presenting a night of unexpected art experiences, music, a silent auction filled with must-have items, not to mention the best dance party in town. The cornerstone of the evening is a unique dinner, served under the stars, and set against the backdrop of downtown, with a spectacular menu. Moreover... it's the most fun thing you will ever do to support the arts!
$175 of each ticket purchase is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. A digital receipt with tax information included will be issued upon check-out. To pay via check, corporate and private tables or gala sponsorship information, please contact Taylor Dickson at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 520.624.5019.
