Monica Velasco, a Tucson-based Oaxacan artist and community organizer, will lead participants through the history and craft of piñata-making. Each participant will receive a blank piñata form on which they can practice traditional decoration techniques, finishing the workshop with a completed piñata ready to bust open at your next party or gathering. Participants will learn the story behind this tradition and expert techniques for making your own!
